		<description>&lt;p&gt;I&#039;m surprised that Nokogiri is so much slower than LibXML, since I thougth Nokogiri was implemented in terms of LibXML.  I guess it&#039;s got some overhead.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Any chance you could actually package this code up somehow so it was distributed with marc ruby as an option on it&#039;s own? Or an extra gem you can install on it&#039;s own? Instead of having to patch a certain version of marc ruby.&lt;/p&gt;
